Textron Premier League - 2013

 

It's Cricket Time. Textron Premier League is the biggest sporting event among the Employees of Textron India. It usually has tremendous response and employees participate in huge numbers. This year the Event was organized by Praveen Patelappa sometimes fondly called as "Appaji". The event was a grand success mainly due to the efforts of Praveen. In order to generate a spark among the employees for the Event, we made a teaser based on the War-Like theme. Looks like people enjoyed seeing it.

Rajesh wanted to do some experiment with VideoGraphy and Photography based on Sports this time. This is the First time we tried covering a sporting event and it was quite a big challenge. Because, in sports photography, all that matters is speed and presence of mind. It was physically very demanding to cover all the matches and players reaction considering the fact that we are almost standing in hot sun for more than 7-8 hours.

The event was held on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7th. There was some really good cricket played on that day with some sizzling performances. There were more than 15 teams enrolled for the event and each team was fighting very hard. We took some team pictures.Here are they :

Textron Habba 2012 Videos

Textron Habba is a Annual Event celebrated by Employees of Textron every year. The word habba means festival in Kannada. So, basically it is more like a festival. It was a week long celebration from July 30, 2012 to Aug 3, 2012. We had several programs on weekdays such as Fun Sports day, Dumb Charades, Cubicle day, Retro Day, Quiz Competition and so on. We made some teasers, interviews and Funny Videos for the habba which was thoroughly enjoyed by the employees. Below are some of the videos that we made.

These videos were made with a intention of generating some interest among employees. Most possibly it did.

Hello World !!

We wanted a facebook page for ourselves, we made one. Now we want a Blog for ourselves, so we are creating one. :)

We are Corporate Guys Studios. We are a group of people who work for Textron India in Bangalore. We are very passionate about making Videos, Photography, Short Film etc etc. Basically anything related to a "camera". Its more of a hobby and we wanted to pursue our hobby seriously. We have been discussing that "one day we will make this" , "we will make that" but we never made anything. Finally, on one fine day, we decided and we just got started.

We want to have a established social presence on the internet. So, we created a facebook page, we created a youtube channel, now this blog. We want to reach out to a lot of people.

In this Blog we would like to share how we started, why we are doing this, what we are planning to do in the future etc etc. We also thought that we will post some tips, techniques and tutorials of some of the videos that we created. We hope you would continue encouraging us and enjoy reading our blog as much as you enjoy seeing our videos.

2. Growth opportunity (Yes. We are learning lot of stuff. From Cameras to videos to mounting equipment to sound mixing to Sony Vegas to even Blogging. Once you decide to grow, No one stop you )

3. Makes you interesting (I think So. We have now 70 Likes in our FB Page.)

4. New friends (We have made more friends and fans now. If we hadn`t pursued our hobby, we might have not got so many friends.)

5. Income source (We are working on this and Blog/Youtube channel is a attempt in that direction. There are several ways to derive income from your hobby and we are trying this via blogging, youtube channel etc etc)

In summary, we want to explore our hobby which is video making and editing. Each and everyone of would be good at something or the other. So, bring out your hobby and showcase it to the world.
